Hindrances of Spiritual Growth
1. Lack of exposure to God-anointed 5-fold ministry gifts

2. Not being fed the sincere milk of the Word

3. Not desiring the Word Matthew 5:6
4. Not acting on the Word John 4:34
5. Having a haughty or prideful spirit Proverb 16:18
6. False teaching - I Timothy 6:3-5
7. The Word distorted and not rightly divided

8. Following after the carnal mind Romans 8:6-8

Checklist for determining if the word I am
hearing is solid truth:
Is it good? God is Good
Does it build revelation of Jesus?
Does is follow the nature of God – kind, generous,
longsuffering, forgiving, not condemning or ridiculing
Love – patience?
Not sugar-coated (what I want to hear)
Does it bring correction? (a straightening of my path)
Is it bringing me into the ministry of reconciliation?
